Barati Mahloele Co-chair
OBFA Co-chair; Co-chair of the Africa OBN; Oxford MBA student
Barati has ten years of experience in finance roles in Africa, Australia, and the UK, having worked for Unilever and CDC Group. Her long-term goal is unlocking scalable economic and social change in Africa, by investing in and providing platforms for innovative businesses solving the continent’s most pressing challenges. This is linked to why she is passionate about co-chairing the Oxford Business Forum Africa, and being part of Said Business School’s continuing drive to advocate for greater levels of investment in Africa. This year’s theme in particular resonates with her, not only because of her consumer background, but also because of the impact the African consumer can have on driving sustainable economic development on the continent. She’s determined to get the right leaders around the table to produce actionable insights for the OBFA 2018.
